The links take you to lists, maps and details of circular cycle routes in these areas.

Each route includes a .gpx file that can be downloaded to a phone app or GPS device for easy navigation on your bike. The maps are printable too (for personal use only).

They are fairly easy cycle rides, ideal for people who enjoy nature and the laid-back Slow Cycling approach.  Distances are mostly 10-20 miles (16-32 kms). Terrain is usually gently undulating, on- and off-road.  So hybrid bikes, suitable for off-road tracks as well as roads, are recommended.

Why circular cycle routes? A round ride has the simple advantage that you don’t have to cycle back along the same route or arrange transport back, as you would on an A-B route.
