Northleach – Hazleton circular route

A circular cycle ride recommended by the Cotswolds Conservation Board

Equidistant between Stow-on-the-Wold, Cheltenham and Cirencester, this rural route takes you from the historic small town of Northleach through traditional Cotswold villages and hamlets.

Terrain: mostly off-road with a few on-road stretches through gently rolling countryside. Hybrid bikes or MTBs are recommended
Distance: 17 miles / 28 kms. Or about 10 miles if you take the optional shortcut.

Where to stay

Northleach is a well-preserved Cotswold market town full of 15th and 16th century buildings, an unspoilt square, little alleyways to explore and interesting individual shops.

The traditional Wheatsheaf Inn has a pleasant garden and a popular restaurant and bar. Guests rate the rooms highly for their comfy beds.
